National Accredited Trade Courses
UCEP Bangladesh is a leading organization in the country’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, delivering market-driven, competency-based skills training to disadvantaged and underprivileged youth. Its programs are aligned with national standards set by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB), ensuring recognized certification and quality assurance. UCEP offers a wide range of trade courses under the National Skills Certificate framework, covering sectors such as electrical, mechanical, ready-made garment (RMG), construction, ICT, caregiving, and service industries. These programs are designed not only to build technical competencies but also to strengthen employability skills, workplace behavior, and productivity, enabling graduates to access decent jobs and contribute effectively to the economy.
Tailor-Made Trade/Professional Courses
Beyond its accredited programs, UCEP Bangladesh provides flexible, tailor-made training courses based on the specific needs of industries, employers, and individual learners. These customized programs are particularly valuable for enterprises seeking a skilled workforce, as well as for job seekers, migrant workers, and returnees who require targeted upskilling or reskilling. UCEP adopts a competency-based training and assessment (CBTA) approach and also facilitates Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), allowing individuals to gain formal certification for skills acquired informally. Strong industry linkages, practical training methods, and a focus on real workplace demands ensure that these programs remain relevant, demand-driven, and responsive to the evolving labor market.
Providing Secondary Education in Vocational (SSC Vocational) Program
The SSC (Vocational) program of UCEP Bangladesh is a nationally recognized technical education pathway that integrates general education with hands-on trade skills, following the curriculum of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). The program spans from Grade 6 to Grade 10, with Grades 6–8 offered under Junior Secondary Certificate (Vocational) and Grades 9–10 leading to the Secondary School Certificate (Vocational).
Designed to prepare youth for the world of work, the program combines academic learning with practical training in various trades. This competency-based approach ensures that students develop the technical expertise, life skills, and workplace readiness needed for employment, self-employment, or further education.
UCEP Bangladesh strongly promotes inclusive and equitable education. Cross-cutting priorities such as gender equality, gender-responsive teaching, and a safe, female-friendly learning environment are integral to the program. Special initiatives are also in place to increase access and participation of Persons with Disabilities.
Each year, over 12,000 students benefit from the SSC (Vocational) program across UCEP institutions, contributing to the development of a skilled, confident, and inclusive workforce in Bangladesh.
