Ms. Tahsinah Ahmed
Tahsinah Ahmed served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UCEP Bangladesh from August 1, 2017, to October 13, 2018, before taking on the role of Executive Director (ED) from October 14, 2018, until April 29, 2021. She was the first female and sixth Executive Director of the organization.
Ms. Ahmed holds a Master of Social Sciences (MSS) degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka. With a career spanning nearly 30 years, she has made significant contributions in the fields of Education, Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Skills Development, Social Inclusion, and Migration for Development. Throughout her career, she has worked with United Nations agencies, national and international development organizations, and development partners.
Her contributions to the development sector include creating primers, curricula, supplementary teaching-learning materials, and skills development modules and programs. Additionally, she has played a key role in organizational development, institution building, and policy formulation in these sectors.
Before joining UCEP Bangladesh, Ms. Ahmed worked for UNESCO, ActionAid, Save the Children, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation at the Embassy of Switzerland, BRAC, and several other institutions. She has actively engaged with numerous strategic forums.
Previously, she was also a member of the Executive Committee of the National Skills Development Council (EC-NSDC) and contributed to drafting the National Skills Development Council Act 2015. She was also involved in the Working Group for International Cooperation in Skills Development.
After retiring from UCEP Bangladesh on April 29, 2021, Ms. Ahmed took on the role of Executive Director at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre (BYLC), where she continues to contribute to youth development and leadership.
