Mr. M. Sirajul Islam was a distinguished freedom fighter and former politician with a strong commitment to public service. He served as the Governor of Lions Bangladesh and was a founding member of National Medical College Hospital. Additionally, he held the position of President of Dhaka Mahanagar Samity.

He was a lifelong member of several prominent organizations, including the Bangladesh Lions Foundation, Anjuman Mofidul Islam, Bangladesh Family Planning Association, Bangladesh Diabetic Association, National Heart Foundation, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Bangladesh Tuberculosis Society, Liver Foundation of Bangladesh, and Bangladesh Shishu Hospital. He also served as the Chairman of the Education for Emancipation Trust and the Lions PDG Forum.

Mr. M. Sirajul Islam joined UCEP Bangladesh as an Association Member in 1990 and later served as the Chairperson of the UCEP Board of Governors from 2005 to 2006.
