Dr. Muhammad Bashiruzzaman

Dr. Muhammad Bashiruzzaman served as the Deputy Director of UCEP Bangladesh before being promoted on July 18, 1999, to become the organization’s third Executive Director. He held this position until his retirement on August 17, 2002.

Dr. Bashiruzzaman had an outstanding academic background. He earned a PhD in Nuclear Chemistry from the University of Liverpool. He began his career as a lecturer at the University of Dhaka before joining the Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (PINSTech) in Islamabad, having received the A.E. Commission of Pakistan. Later, he worked at the Council for Social Science Research in Osaka, Zambia. During his second tenure at the institution, he rose to the position of Head of Social Science Research.

After serving UCEP Bangladesh with dedication for three years, Dr. Bashiruzzaman retired on August 17, 2002.
