On 13 February 2024 UCEP Sulaiman Chaudhury Baluchar Technical School, Sylhet celebrated “Pitha Utsob, Nobin Boron & Farewell” ceremony. A day-long pitha festival was celebrated on Tuesday at UCEP Sulaiman Chaudhury Baluchar Technical School located in Baluchar, sylhet. Also farewell to SSC candidates and welcome to freshers. At first, our students welcomed our guests by the bouquet of flowers, Region Manager UCEP Sylhet Region, Mohammad Kayum Molla was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the day-long program by cutting the ribbon.
Md. Alamgir Hossein, Head of Technical, UCEP Sulaiman Chaudhury Baluchar Technical School presided over the event. All the special guests give their valuable speeches and give them pieces of advice for a better future. Other teachers-students, and employees of the school were also present.
The chief guest said in his speech that SSC examination will start on the 15February,24, He advised the students to answer the questions well and understand the exam participants. He also said that in the past there was pitha festival in every house in Bengal. Pitha was eaten with relatives. But now those days are gone. These festivals have disappeared from life. He mentioned that seeing this kind of festival brings back those memories of the past. At the end of the speech, he welcomed the outgoing students with educational materials and flowers to the freshers along with the guests present. The program came to its end with the dance performance of the students. There were present 345 students (Girls: 195 and Boys: 150).
