Mr. Salahuddin Kasem Khan served as the Chairperson of UCEP Bangladesh (1994-1995, 1996-1997) and is a pioneer industrialist and development thinker in Bangladesh. He is the Trustee Secretary of A.K. Khan Foundation, Chairman of Coats (Bangladesh) Ltd., A.K. Khan Jute Mills, and Director of Bengal Fisheries Ltd. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of A.K. Khan Penfabric Company Ltd.

Previously, he was the Chairman of AKTEL, Bangladesh and has been the Honorary Consul General of Turkey in Chittagong since 1984. Mr. Khan holds a graduate degree from the University of Punjab and completed his post-graduation in Legal Studies in London.
