Ms. Parveen Mahmud, FCA, is a distinguished leader in social innovation, sustainable development, and professional accounting. She served as the Chairperson of UCEP Board of Governors (2019-2022) and remains a senior member of its association. Previously, she was Vice-Chairperson (2009-2010).
A trailblazer in the accounting profession, she was the first woman President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) (2011) and the first female board member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). She currently chairs the CA Female Forum – Women in Leadership Committee (ICAB) and serves as Vice Chairperson of SAFA’s Women in Leadership Committee.
Ms. Mahmud’s career spans BRAC, PKSF (as Deputy Managing Director), and Grameen Telecom Trust (as Founding MD). She sits on numerous boards, including BRAC International, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), CPD, PKSF, and RDRS, and is an independent director of Linde Bangladesh Ltd., Apex Footwear Ltd., and Chairperson of Shasha Denims Ltd. and MIDAS.
Recognized for her contributions, she has received several awards, including the Begum Rokeya Shining Personality Award (2006) and Women at Work Award (2017).
