Underprivileged Children’s Educational Program (UCEP) Bangladesh is a leading national NGO that provides better livelihood opportunities to the poor urban working children and youth through implementing General Education, Skills development training and Job Placement support in close collaboration with large, medium and small industries and workshops throughout Bangladesh. Its’ objective is to raise the socio-economic condition of the urban and peri-urban underprivileged children and youth as well as their families, to enable them to participate effectively in the national development and thus enhance their capacities through acquisition of knowledge and skills and fulfillment of their basic rights.
At present UCEP has an enrollment of over 35,000 children and youth in its’ 35 Technical Schools, 10 TVET Institute and 03 outreach centers in Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, Gazipur, Sherpur and Bogura. The TVET Institute of UCEP operates 37 different trade courses consider to the demand of the employment markets. Besides, UCEP also operates SSC Vocational courses through its’ thirty five technical schools. UCEP is acknowledged as a leader and innovator of educational and training approaches and recognized nationally and internationally as a center of excellence of human resource development. The success of UCEP programs make it unique in the TVET sector of Bangladesh.
