About School
The school located at Housing estate, block-L, Road No-30, Holding no:-52/3, Khalishpur, Khulna was established in 1983 and spans over an area of 6,050 square feet. The building is one storied semi Pacca construction. It has 09 classrooms, 01 ICT lab, 01 RAC lab, 01 Electrical lab, 01 Science lab. This building has been serving the educational needs of the community for over four decades.
With leadership of Head of Technical School, the school has been able to provide quality education and create a positive impact on the lives of the students. Under his guidance, the school has been able to maintain high standards of education and provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge for their future endeavors.
The school follows the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) curricula, along with vocational subjects under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, for Junior School Certificate (JSC) Vocational course of grades VI to VIII and School Secondary Certificate (SSC) Vocational course of grade IX to X. This curriculum provides students with a well-rounded education that includes a strong foundation in core subjects such as mathematics, science, and language, as well as practical skills in various vocations. The combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience prepares students for a successful future, whether they choose to pursue further education or enter the workforce directly. Recent Activities
Book festival 2024:
On January 1st, the UCEP Khalispur Technical School was abuzz with excitement as it hosted its Book Festival 2024. The event marked a significant milestone for the students and faculty alike, celebrating their dedication and hard work throughout the year. In the midst of cheering students and proud parents, the ceremony honored academic achievement and personal growth. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the future as each student received their well-deserved books, symbolizing knowledge, empowerment, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. It was a day of joy, inspiration, and recognition of the relentless pursuit of learning within the UCEP Khalispur community.
Child Council Member Election 2024:
In each school of UCEP Bangladesh has its own Child Council consisting of 15 members elected by the students. So, each year the Child Council is formed festively like the government election. The roles and responsibilities of the Child Council Members (CCM) of students; ensure the discipline of students; encourage to engage and lead to organize the regular assembly to maintain the cleanliness of school compound and personal hygiene; assist to develop and storage of teaching aids, lead to organize different modality and co-curricular activities. In the other hand to communicate the people aware about their rights, child labor, negative impact for early marriage, the importance of child education, etc. The CCMs sit for the meeting once a month regularly. They also sit with the teachers and Head Teacher to discuss the academic progress, school, and students related issue. This year, the Child Council election was held on 29 January 2024.
Child Council Meeting:
In UCEP Bangladesh Student leadership at the school and community level is very strong through using their leadership capacity. One of the most significant initiatives is to form a Child Council committee to engage and ensure other students participating in the school’s discipline and co-curricular activities. Every school has an active Child Council Executive Committee is consisting of 15 members elected by the general students at this respective school.
The main objective of the committee is to develop the leadership quality among the students and boost up their potentiality to enhance their self-esteem. This committee also helps to reduce any type of harassment and abusive activities, violence related to child rights, and children safeguard at the school and community level. They arrange meeting each month to discuss different issues in their school and community. They work very closely with Child Protection and Gender focal persons for ensuring child and the gender-friendly environment in the School. If needed they also talk with the Head of the school, teachers, and other relevant teachers of the respective school. On 30 Jan 2024, the school organized 1(one) Child Council (CM) meeting in which child labor, early marriage, safety security, half yearly exam and psychosocial wellbeing are discussed.
Monthly program review meeting:
The monthly program review meeting is one of the regular events for the education program of UCEP Bangladesh, every school regularly organizes the monthly program review meeting with all teaching staff. This meeting usually organizes for discussing the school-related activities, progress, challenges, and way out from the challenges headed by the Head of Technical School of the school.In technical school PRD Meeting is Held on every month. The programmatic issues; academic and operational are being discussed.This monthly meeting is considered as a learning platform for developing the internal capacity. The students’ progress, teacher performance in the class are important topics where teachers feel hard, etc. are discussed in the meeting. Sometimes, the Regional Manager who is their supervisor also attends the meeting to share his views in terms of program monitoring and supervision.In the education program of UCEP Bangladesh, every school regularly organizes the monthly program review meeting with all teaching staff. Usually, the Head of Technical School of the Technical school has organized the meeting.
Annual Sports 2024
The UCEP Khalispur Technical School’s annual sports day unfolded with vibrant energy and spirited competition. Students from all grades showcased their athleticism and sportsmanship in a variety of events, from track races to and relay competitions. The sports field echoed with cheers and encouragement as participants pushed their limits and demonstrated their skills honed through dedicated training. Teachers and staff joined in the festivities, fostering a sense of camaraderie and pride among the school community. Beyond the thrill of victory, the event emphasized values of teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition. It was a day where talents shone brightly, friendships were strengthened, and memories were made, highlighting the integral role of sports in shaping well-rounded individuals at UCEP Khalispur Technical School.
Day Observation
UCEP Khalishpur Technical School has been celebrated the International Mother Language Day ‘2024 on 21.02.2024. To celebrate the National Environment Day, We arranged Tree Plantation Activity on 05.06.2024 in its School Premises. And also has been observed the International Women’s Day ‘2024 on 8.03.2024. Near about 60+ students were present at this event.
