Executive Director
Ms. Tahsinah Ahmed is the first female and sixth Executive Director of UCEP Bangladesh. Ms. Ahmed obtained her MSS degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka. She has a long career of about 30 years working in and leading the sectors of Education, Poverty Alleviation, Technical & Vocational Education and Training, Skills Development and Migration for Development etc. She has worked for the UN, national and international development organizations and Bilateral Donor Agencies. She has contributed to the sectors by developing primers, curriculums, supplementary teaching-learning materials, education and skills development modules, programmes, departments etc. She has also contributed to institution building and policy development in the above-mentioned sectors. She has served institutions like UNESCO, ActionAid, Save the Children, the Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation of the Embassy of Switzerland, BRAC etc. before joining UCEP Bangladesh. She is contributing at strategic level in a number of prestigious forums including the National Human Resource Development Fund, the National Child Labour Working Committee, the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Employer’s Federation, the National Steering Committee of Generation Unlimited (GenU) Bangladesh, the Informal Sector Industry Skills Council , the Education Local Consultative Group, the Education Watch Advisory Committee, the Literacy and Continuing Education Network Convening Committee, the Working Group for International Cooperation in Skills Development, the Network for International Policies and Cooperation in Education and Training (NORRAG) etc. Previously, she also served as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Skills Development Council, the Drafting Committee for the National Skills Development Council Act 2015 etc.
