To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, UCEP Bangladesh arranged a programme at its head office. The programme was presided over by its Executive Director, Mr. Md. Abdul Karim and Chief guest was Ms. Parveen Mahmud, FCA, Chairperson of UCEP Bangladesh. Special guests were Ms. Nishat Majumder (the first Bangladeshi woman to climb Mount Everest), UCEP Ombudsperson Ms. Mafruha Sultana and UCEP Association Members Ms. Zahida Ispahani, Mr. Jitendra Lal Bhowmik etc.
Highlighting the importance of women’s day, chief guest, Ms. Parvin Mahmud, urged for gender equality to protect women’s right and to achieve sustainable future. In his speech, Md. Abdul Karim thanked present government for tremendous initiatives to empower women. He added that UCEP is contributing to the empowerment of women by providing education, training and decent employment for its graduate especially for the women.
The programme ended with a cultural event performed by the student of UCEP Bangladesh.
