UCEP Institute of Science and Technology (UIST), Dhaka, organized its Orientation Program 2025 & Job Fair

Dhaka, January 30, 2025 – UCEP Institute of Science and Technology (UIST), Dhaka, successfully organized its Orientation Program 2025 & Job Fair at the UCEP Bangladesh Head Office, Mirpur-2. The event welcomed the new students of the 2025-26 academic session, offering them valuable insights into technical education and career opportunities while connecting them with prospective employers.

Dr. Md. Mohiuddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, was present as the Chief Guest. Mr. Ahmed Ismet, Chairman of Bangladesh Development Bank, PLC, attended as the Guest of Honor. Additionally, Sachindra Nath Samaddar, Deputy Managing Director, Bangladesh Development Bank PLC, graced the event as Special Guest. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Ubaidur Rob, Chairperson of the Board of Governors, UCEP Bangladesh and Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, Executive Director of UCEP Bangladesh was also present in the program 

The Orientation Program and Job Fair served as a dynamic platform for students to engage with industry leaders, explore career prospects, and understand the significance of technical education in today’s job market. Students had the opportunity to interact with potential employers, industry experts, and alumni, gaining practical knowledge and networking opportunities.

In his address, Dr. Md. Mohiuddin praised UCEP Bangladesh’s commitment to technical and vocational education, emphasizing the organization’s role in fostering a skilled workforce for a sustainable future. He lauded UCEP’s Safeguarding Policy, highlighting its dedication to ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace, particularly for women.

Twelve renowned organizations, including Walton, Pran, RFL, IFAD Autos, ACI, and Radisson Blu, participated in the job fair The event resulted in the collection of 665 CVs, with 35 students receiving on-the-spot job offers.

The Orientation Program 2025 & Job Fair marked the beginning of an exciting journey for UIST’s new students, inspiring them to embrace innovation, develop technical expertise, and contribute to the nation’s progress. 

The event concluded with a vibrant cultural program hosted by Tamanna Mahmud, Senior Officer, Communications, UCEP Bangladesh. A captivating cultural performance was presented by UCEP students, showcasing their aspirations, creativity, and talents.
