On July 15, 2024, KiK UCEP Ghashitola Technical School hosted a dynamic event to celebrate the World Youth Skill Day. The day was marked by a variety of activities including a rally, speeches, and student projects competition. Program Highlights: Opening Ceremony: The event began with a warm welcome by the Head of Technical School. Students and Teaching Staff gathered to participate in the day’s activities and to honor the significance of World Youth Skill Day. Rally: The festivities kicked off with an energetic rally. Students, local elites, and Teaching Staff marched through the school grounds and around the School premises via Moakambari Beter Bazar Areas, holding banners and placards that promoted the value of skills and labors. The rally was a visual demonstration of the collective spirit and enthusiasm for recognizing the importance of skilled labor in the community and society. Address by Md. Salman Khan, Assistant Instructor: Md. Salman Khan expressed his pride in celebrating World Youth Skill Day. He highlighted the school’s commitment to raising awareness about labor rights and stressed the ongoing need for advocacy. His remarks emphasized the role of education in preparing young people for the workforce. Shakila Akter (Assistant Instructor Technical Skill ICT): Shakila Akter spoke about the themes of unity and empowerment associated with World Youth Skills Day 2024. She emphasizing the crucial role of youth in peacebuilding and conflict resolution through the theme for Youth Skills Day 2024. She encouraged everyone to celebrate and recognize the contributions of workers, reinforcing the universal message of solidarity and support for the labor force. Student Projects and Prizes: As a part of the celebration, students were invited to create projects related to the theme of World Youth Skill Day. These projects showed their understanding and appreciation of labor and skills development. At the end of the day, prizes were awarded to the most outstanding projects, recognizing the students’ creativity and efforts.
